Rec is all I play and let me tell you it's the community! Most don't understand spaceball proper ball movement and the mechanics of the game. "I got 99 Dunk, I'm supposed to drink that!" After missing a dunk on 3 spamming defenders 😔 You got the whole team attempting to block anyone who drives leaving shooters open possession after possession. Then when you're open a random runs over with his man to set a screen on no one 🤡 the concept of team is nonexistent I could be burning my man and the team seems to always find a way to freeze me out and won't pass it to me unless Rim Run so they can get an assist meanwhile all your other teammates are randomly Rim Running so basically it's a cluster F🤷🏾‍♂️

For me it depends on the level and rank if you over 99 and black plated and low rank thats a problem letting me kniw your basketball IQ. If your bronze with a high rank i fuks with you cuh obviously you been sold a few times. Not saying that all purole and gold are the best but seem to be better hoopers overall

The “find a party” feature solves so many problems. Discord is cool but 2k needs something in game that displays like when you join a custom match in COD. You could join a team based on position. There are too many times were I have played out of position in 2k24. This way if it happens the team/party leader is cool with it. You can also check if everyone has a mic as well and if you don’t want to do that you could just load in. I think complaining about the game without trying some sort of communication is counter productive.

While I agree with you it’s better having op bots over toxic team mates it can be frustrating losing games to team mates leaving computers open and them shooting 80-90% from 3. I think they can tone it slightly maybe instead of shooting 90% open 3 maybe have them shoot like 50-60% to counter bad team mates in the rec

Let’s add some depth to this topic. The hogging is really within the build(s) and certain positions imo. Any and I mean ANY of these builds at the 1-2 will hog. 3pt shot hunter build walking bucket build playmaking sharpshooter build Sharpshooter build Shoot first builds and lastly the Offense heavy build. I’ve notice they hog regardless the color of their plate, it’s in the build to hog. Now the second most hogging you’ll deal with is at the 5. Any rebounding, post, paint scoring center will indeed hog off the rebound.

I'll say this. I have a winning record playing nothing but randoms only rec games with the mic always off. I don't know about you, but for me, that says a lot and how bad it is out there. Let your IQ and game do the talking. You don't know how many games I've been playing no squads rec and had people quit during those games and yet sometimes still pick up the W. The 2K toxic is REAL.

I have a whole 5 that I’ve played this game with since college and we played pick up ball together. I don’t think I’ve ever thought the game was toxic other than the bs I’ve seen online so I think it is mainly a solo queue thing. When you have a 5 that you’ve played ball with in real life and you play ball with them in game, 2k is a great game.
